My Cute Pumpkins...Can you believe there are 4 of them!

I decided it was time to get the camera out and start snapping pictures! Grandma Kate bought the girls matching pajamas so we could get some cute pictures of them all dressed the same. I must say now that Madalynne and Vivian are moving it is hard to get them all looking at the camera without somebody making a weird face!

Ashley being goofy...She is very good at this.

Ashley and Vivian being goofy!

Ashley and Vivian being goofy again. I am starting to see a pattern here. This has been a good experiment. The two of them have more similar personalities and so do Savannah and Madalynne. The personalities have been showing through a lot more this month and Vivian is much more temperamental and impatient... and GOOFY!

Madalynne sucks her two middle fingers and Vivian sucks her thumb! One of the only differences we have noticed except the recent personality differences. Once in awhile I will look at them and think I know who is who because of which fingers they are sucking and they have switched it up on me and they are sucking exactly the opposite.

Aren't these two cute! They are almost 8 months already! Where time goes, I will never know. I can't believe they are growing up so fast. They are much better at eating food these days but they aren't patient if you are feeding them both at the same time. I wish I had more hours in the day so I could just sit and hold them both more!

Pumpkin Carving...Pumpkin Carved!

This is the finished project! I am getting bad at taking pictures of the creating these days and since Everett happens to be out of town this year I got to carve 2 pumpkins. I think next year Savannah might be old enough to do her own...I am hoping.

I was drawing options on paper of different eyes, noses, mouths to carve so we would know what we were going to make and Ashley decided she wanted a "Cat Face" on her pumpkin. We (ha, ha...I) even carved whiskers and I must say it came out pretty cute. I have never carved a cat pumpkin before.

Savannah decided she wanted a "Bunny Face" for her pumpkin and it didn't turn out as well as the cat. It was one of those deals where you start carving and then realize on paper it looked good but if you keep carving the bunny shall have not teeth because you planned wrong. So it turned out okay but not what I had in mind. Then we couldn't figure out what to do about ears!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We had a fun time going to discover one of the local pumkin patches. We didn't realize when we set out just how cold it was but we made the best of it and stayed a little less time than we would have on a warmer day but we got pumpkins and the kids left tired (which is always good).

They had a Pretend Cow (obviously) that the kids could "Milk" and it was really funny. The kids got a kick out if it!

The Hay Ride Driver said the only rule was that they had to pick a pumpkin that they could carry, of course we bent that rule a little since mom got to help carry the pumpkins.

Luckily my Mother-In-Law is here and she was able to carry one of the babies (Vivian)in the sling to help her keep warm.

I didn't realize how cold Madalynne's hands were getting and she was so upset by the time we left! Bad mom moment!

They made these large slides out of Culvert Pipes (they ARE smooth on the inside) and the kids had a blast going down them. They were scared the first time and then they wanted to keep going.

Renaissance Festival

A couple weeks ago we took the kids to the Renaissance Festival for fun. We were ready for a day out with fun activities. We saw some shows, jousting demonstrations enjoyed eating turkey legs (one of the babies tried getting a bite, I think she will be a good meat eater) and then we saw the trampolines and kids bouncing so high in the air with these harnesses. Savannah wanted to try it but we weren't sure how she would do. She was 3 before she would go up on a slide without freaking out and being afraid of heights. She still is nervous and afraid of heights and Elevators. We thought we would see how she would do and explained that she is strapped in and "can't fall". She did awesome! She was giggling the whole time...I will try to upload the video but it may be too big, it is giving me errors. Here are some fun photos of our day!

Brown Recluse BIte???

Well it has been an eventful month! It doesn't seem like it was just about a month ago that we left Utah with all that has been going on but it has been about that long. We got moved into our home and quickly found out that not only did we have cockroaches (that they told us didn't exist when we asked) but there are also Brown Recluse Spiders in our home. They are a spider that doesn't build a web but rather roams around looking for food at night and the bite is quite nasty. Savannah came to take a bath with me one night in the big jetted tub and I noticed a bite on her knee that didn't look like an ordinary bite so I told her to go have dad look at it since I was already in the tub. He came in saying I am not so worried about that as the one on the back of her leg (That I didn't see). Luckily we found them that night and they didn't go any longer. So we go see a dermatoligist tomorrow because they are not looking any better, actually worse than when I took these pictures yesterday. They have been treating her for a brown recluse bite but it isn't helping and now she is breaking out in sores all over her legs. She is quite worried about it and pretty sad to get her bandages ripped off twice a day to put the cream on.
I took Savannah back to the doctor today and what they thought originally to be "Just a spider Bite" is now being diagnosed as "definately a Brown Recluse Bite" so I am curious to see what the Dermatologist says tomorrow. We are quickly getting to meet more doctors than I would like to have to.

I keep telling her we will get her fixed up and she will be okay but for now we have the EXTERMINATOR -- SPIDER MAN coming to our home tomorrow to rid our residence of spiders and cockroaches and all other pesky bugs. We are so excited to see them, I can't even tell you!

We have captured 4 confirmed Brown Recluse Spiders in baby food jars and 2 have gotten away because they are so quick! We have quite a collection of other spiders too, all sitting on our counter waiting to show them to the Spider man tomorrow.

I'll keep you posted on Savannah's BITES!

Look Who Turned 3...

Ashley just turned 3 on September 19th and it was an okay birthday being that we just moved and didn't get to have on of our usual fun parties with all our friends. We decided to go to the zoo and then do presents and cake afterwards. She seemed to have a fun day and the good news is my house isn't still as messy as it was in these pictures. We are making progress!!! It is a slow process with 4 girls under 5 but by Christmas we should be good:)!

So for Ashley's birthday we got her a new stroller and a Cinderella baby doll which she loves. She is so into dolls and everytime we go to the store and she sees another doll she wants that one too. And here I thought we had enough, silly me!

Being 3 is nice...my favorite new phrase is "you can do that, you are big now that you're 3!" and she believes me and tries harder to do things for herself. It is working out great.

Fun Backyard Campfires!

Well it is almost midnight and I finally have time to update this blog! I have been meaning to post these photos for days now but life has been too crazy around here. We have had so much fun building campfires and roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. The girls love it, we go down to the pond and feed the fish while dad fixes up the fire. We brough their little picnic table down there and our camping chairs and we hang out by the fire until dark and then go in the warm house and sleep in our own beds. It is the BEST camping I have ever done! The dog "Gecko" loves the pond and we are talking about getting her a buddy to roam around with, she is quite lonely on this large plot of land. I love building these fun memories with my girls.

Starting Solid Foods

Vivian and Madalynne have started eating solid foods, finally. I have been procrastinating with all that we have had going on but now they are 6 months old and it is time. It is a messy job with two of them. Madalynne keeps the food in better but just wants to suck her fingers in between each bite. Vivian is ferocious and wants to eat but she can't keep the food in her mouth, she keeps spitting it out. They are both improving every day and soon they shall have it down. The other night we fed them Turkey and Vivian got REALLY mad and started to gag. It was a bit funny but she was MAD at us! We also had to laugh that if you aren't paying attention to what you are doing it seems impossible to feed the baby without opening your mouth when you go to give them a bite!

Enjoy the pictures!

Starting to BLOG.....

Well I am starting a blog to keep everybody posted as we move out to Kansas. It is going to be an exciting time and the next week is going to be busy for us getting ready to move. Meanwhile I have four wonderful girls that have been such troopers through the long days of limited toys, hurrying to pick up the house for another showing and all the chaos that goes with moving across the country and selling a home.

Here are some recent photos of the girls to start with.
